Blind Sales Surveyor/ Measure
Job description
Measuring windows for blinds, shutters and awnings and selling blinds to our domestic and commercial customers on their premises.
This is a job for a methodical and precise sales person with a proven track record in retail sales and someone who has a practical mind, a problem solver and can turn their hand to anything.
Working a 5 day week Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday and /or early evening call when required.
Initially training for 8 weeks and going out with an existing surveyor.
You will have a daily appointment sheet and armed with a tape measure and sample swatch books, your job will be to visit customers and measure their windows accurately every time, help them choose the correct type of blind and colour, give advice, overcome objections, take the order and get deposits.
Sounds simple doesn't it ! It is not, there is no room for carelessness , the role needs concentration, an eye for detail , a lot of common sense, an aptitude for problem solving and someone who double checks everything so they don't make mistakes.
No cold calling whatsoever, just pre arranged appointments made by our potential customers who have visited our showrooms or rang us.
I need a conscientious person who goes the extra mile to give excellent and friendly customer service and build long lasting relationships with new and existing customers. Making the right impression is key.
Previous experience within the blind industry and measuring in mm would be an obvious and distinct advantage, but is not essential as full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Common sense, honesty and the right attitude are definite requirements as well as being very well organized.
Anyone without previous and extensive face to face retail sales experience with the general public need not apply as this is essential.
A Sign written Company vehicle is included that you take home in the evening and weekends, a fuel card and £25.00 towards your mobile phone bill.
You must also have a full driving licence
Your area will be the North West mainly around the Manchester area but other areas in Cheshire and the North West of England are also covered.
Salary is £417 per 5 day week which is paid weekly. Plus a 2% Commission is also paid on all your right first time delivered sales after completing your training period. Potential to achieve 35k to 40k per annum.
On successful completion of a 6 month probationary period you will be entitled to a 30% discount of all our prices for you and your immediate family
