Skills Provision is currently seeking a Biomedical Scientist specialising in Haematology for a company in Ireland.
The employing laboratory provides clinical diagnostic microbiology, virology, clinical chemistry, haematology and genomics laboratory services across Ireland.
Owing to the success and rapid growth of the company they are now looking to enhance their team of medical specialists.

- 40 hours per week
- These hours will fall between 8 am and 8 pm

The Role
- Report to the Laboratory Manager
- Carry out diagnostic work in line with industry standards and procedures
- Process patient samples efficiently
- Ensure all information is professionally recorded in the laboratory management system
- Follow guidelines when handling patients’ data
- Support the team, introducing new ideas and concepts
- Participate in quality assurance evaluations
- Attend staff training
Requirements
- Bachelor’s qualification in clinical science/laboratory medicine or equivalent
- Previous experience in a clinical diagnostic/research centre or a company providing services to these
- Experience reading blood films, experience with a RAL Stainer, DC-1 Cellavision and Sysmex Sysmex XN-2000 would be advantageous
- Eligible for CORU registration as a Medical Scientist
- Eligible for Membership of the ACSLM
- Excellent time management skills
- Well-versed in safety protocols
