The Biomedical Science team at Maxxima are currently recruiting a Band 5 or 6 Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry to work in a busy NHS Hospital in Cheshire. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's cellular biochemistry service.

Position: Biomedical Scientist (Biochemistry)
Banding: 5/6
Location: Cheshire
Hours: Full-time
Duration: Ongoing

What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in Biochemistry, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy able to cut over 30 blocks and hour to a high standard; alongside having experience in embedding and staining. On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:

• HCPC registered
• Microtomy experience
• UK NHS or private sector biochemistry laboratory experience
• Experience in Siemens centaur or advia and helena electophoresis systems
