Job description
Are you an Assistant Psychologist who is passionate about improving health outcomes for adults with learning disabilities?
We are seeking two experienced Assistant Psychologists to help deliver the specialist psychology service within Sironas Adult Learning Disability Health Service.
The current service was formed in 2020 and consists of three multi-disciplinary community teams: Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). These teams provide specialist health services directly to people with learning disabilities and their families/support networks, and indirectly by liaising with other services and offering support on how to make reasonable adjustments. Within these teams, qualified and assistant psychologists play a key role in supporting multi-disciplinary approaches, providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions, and supporting the development of the service.
The community teams operate Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. The current vacancies are within the North Somerset and South Gloucestershire teams (i.e. one post based in Church House, Kingswood, and one in Castlewood, Clevedon). However, please note that both posts require travel for home visits etc. and we work flexibly across BNSSG to ensure that resources are allocated as needed.
