Biomedical Scientist
The Holly Hospital | Pathology | Permanent | Full time | Includes on call
37.5 hours per week

As a Biomedical Scientist at The Holly Hospital, you will bring the relevant qualifications and laboratory experience in your qualified field of biomedical science. The laboratory is multidisciplinary, which includes Blood Transfusion, Chemistry Haematology and Coagulation on site, and training will be given in all areas for this role. Any experience in blood transfusion would be desirable. You will have a good working knowledge of different analytical equipment in a range of techniques. You’re also a natural communicator and team player, and you share our idea of quality.
As a Biomedical Scientist, you will:
· Deliver high-quality pathology services
· Complete your share of covering the out-of-hours on-call service
· Perform biomedical diagnostic testing, interpretation, reporting and quality control
· Keep records of specimens, results, reagents, and consumables
· Support the validation and assessment of new equipment and new diagnostic procedures
· Help ensure we deliver the very best experience for patients
