Job summary
Trainee Biomedical Scientist in Infection Sciences -Full Time CS8 (on completion registration portfolio CS9, specialist portfolio CS10)Applications are invited for the post of trainee biomedical scientist from graduates with an Institute of Biomedical Science accredited degree (or completing IBMS approved top up modules). This is a 2 year training contract post in Microbiology, during which the successful applicant will be expected to complete an IBMS pre-registration portfolio, attain the certificate of competence and become HCPC registered. Upon registration this will be come a permanent post. Training and support will be given to the successful candidate. On HCPC registration they will be expected to complete an IBMS specialist portfolio in Microbiology whilst working as a biomedical scientist. Previous experience of working in a medical laboratory is essential. An Enhanced DBS check is required. The candidate must demonstrate professional integrity, commitment and the ability to work under pressure. Attention to detail is essential, as well as good Information Technology skills.
