Biomedical Scientist Band 6
Location: Watford
Cellular Pathology Services is seeking a full-time HCPC state registered Biomedical Scientist to join our team. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform a range of laboratory duties. The Biomedical Scientist will work in our medical laboratory to provide high quality testing, performing all technical methods to a high standard and ensuring quality is maintained at all times. Key responsibilities will include preparing tissue samples for examination, staining and cutting specimens, and assisting pathologists with analysis. The ideal candidate will also provide supervision of technical services by liaising with the Director of Operations and supervising activities of non-BMS staff as required.
Position Duties:
- Work in a medical laboratory to provide high quality testing.
- Perform all technical methods to a high standard and ensure quality is maintained at all times.
- Provide supervision of technical services by liaison with Director of Operations and supervise activities of non-BMS staff as required.
- Participate in providing the training and supervision of staff in all techniques and processes.
- Assist with troubleshooting, service developments and implementation of new processes and techniques.
- Perform audit and actively participate in Quality Management activities

Salary: £41,045.00-£49,584.00 per year
