The Digital Healthcare Group in Cambridge (UK) is looking for a Bioengineer to test sensors in blood within their new testing laboratory.
Responsibilities:
The position is a hands-on role with the support of senior engineers and scientists. Responsibilities include:
  • Blood manipulation
  • Sensor testing aqueous/blood
  • Data collection
  • Record Keeping and report writing
  • WI/SOP generation
  • Training/mentoring of junior staff
Required Skills:
  • Qualification 1st / 2.1 degree in biochemistry or biological or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in a BSL-2 laboratory and proven knowledge of the required safety requirements required in a BSL-2 environment.
  • Ability to work in collaborative and team focused environment.
  • Industry specific experience in one or more medical technology sectors (e.g. surgical, pharma, biotech, life sciences)
Preferred Skills
  • Lab-based experience working on the manipulation of biological materials, e.g. blood, plasma to the desired analyte levels for testing purposes.
  • Experience of sensor testing and method development with an ability to implement improvements.
  • Demonstrable experience with development and validation of assays including analysis from instrumentation readouts. This should include sensitivity, specificity, reproducibility, and precision.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in electrochemistry
  • Familiarity of working within a regulated environment e.g. ISO 13485
