The Role
As a member of the team, you will perform multiple analytic techniques with a specific emphasis on bioassays that are required to support the testing of the company's products. Work closely with team members to assist with the development and qualification of lot release, stability and characterization assays by Regulatory and Quality Guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, qualify and perform analytical techniques with a specific emphasis on the development of cell-based potency (bio)assays that are required to support product testing.
- Work as part of a team to develop, qualify and perform analytical assays for testing of drug product and drug substance and in-process samples.
- Ensure all analytical development work is sufficiently documented to support regulatory submissions or intellectual property requirements when appropriate.
- Ensure all data collection and review activities are conducted in accordance with the company’s quality system and policies.
- Supporting development of assays to analyse Chemistry, Manufacturing and Control activities as required.
- Contribute to the routine running of the laboratory and maintenance of the equipment.
- Write technical reports, standard operating procedures and other documents.
- Assist in the technical transfer of processes to relevant Contract Manufacturers.
- Participate in team and other scientific meetings, presenting data and conclusions.
- Adhere to applicable policies and procedures relating to working in the laboratory.
We are looking for people who have:
- A Ph.D. or equivalent experience in a life science discipline.
- One year of practical laboratory experience, ideally gained in a Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical setting.
- Practical experience in cell-based potency assays and molecular techniques.
- Practical knowledge of mammalian cell culture.
- Ability to write and record laboratory activities clearly and accurately.
- Ability to analyse and research complex issues and write factual reports.
- Knowledge and understanding of the following (or alternative technologies if relevant) such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, cell-line generation and flow cytometry.
- Understanding principles of Design of Experiments and relevant software.
