BIM Technician / Technologist / Coordinator - Bristol

An opportunity has opened up for a BIM Technician/Technologist/Coordinator with experience in all sectors but especially education, healthcare, residential and defence.
With a proven track record as a BIM Technician, you will have sound knowledge of Revit BIM standards and systems on a project basis and their creation, implementation and management. You will also produce outputs using COBie processes. Your structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making will complement your ability to work with minimum supervision as a collaborative team member.
Attributes
- Excellent working knowledge of BIM / Revit
- Qualified to degree level in Architectural Technology or Architecture with a demonstrable track record of working in a technical capacity preferably as a high-level BIM user
- Demonstrable working knowledge of BIM, CAD and Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Proven track record with the following:
- Managing a multi-user Revit environment minimum 4 years continual Revit use/ experience
- Producing large scale schemes in BIM/Revit at various project stages
- COBie
- Able to manage or coordinate several third party BIM Standards within an office
- Gain knowledge and keep up-to-date with current design and technical issues with specific reference to BIM
- Able to communicate effectively and consistently using appropriate media for different audience internally and externally
- Able to manage own working practices and with minimum supervision when required and as part of a team
- Able to deal with conflict in a calm and patient manner and build relationships with professionals of all levels and disciplines within the organisation with tact and diplomacy
- Display an enthusiastic, positive and proactive attitude to work, remaining self-motivated and able to motivate other team members.
- A flexible approach and ability to cope with the varying demands of the role by performing effectively under reasonable levels of work-related pressure

Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Understand a BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for your assigned projects
- Attend BIM mobilisation meetings with the external design team and BIM Design Team reviews when necessary.
- Undertake Level 2 BIM on projects.
- Undertake clash detection and reporting where necessary.
- Undertake COBie process and outputs
- Understand UK Building Regulations
- Able to produce accurate and coordinated building packages
- Promote processes and workflows that bring efficiencies to the way we work.
- Work with Project BIM co-ordinators to assist the development of the BIM library.
- Ensure that ongoing projects are being undertaken in accordance with the current project BIM Standards where necessary.
