Purpose of the position
Client Financial Services Billing Specialist providing client financial support to the Pearson VUE EMEA and APAC business. This position works cross-functionally throughout the organization to build and maintain client-centric financial services. It requires an experienced and fully competent professional with in-depth knowledge of VUE’s clients, students, and testing centres. The position will partner with Program Management, Sales, Legal and others to provide financial support and guidance on existing and new client accounts.
Core tasks and responsibilities
- Leverage VUE Test System (VTS) to generate client-facing financial statements and reports.
- Activities include discussions with clients to review all financial aspects of their program including global payment collection, cash collections, refunds, vouchers, discounts and other related issues.
- Review and submit invoices and credit notes to client by contractual due dates.
- Configure the VTS financial reconciliation system to support the financial parameters under the contracts.
- Provide knowledge and support to Program Managers related to discount, vouchers, pre-paid/non-pre-paid programs.
- Attend meetings with clients to address financial inquiries.
- Provide necessary evidence/support as required of all aspects to client facing audits.
- Offer support to the wider finance team by running reports as needed.
- Work with the customer services team on daily bank statements, refund requests & payments.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Key relationships
- Works alongside the business to ensure proper support of client financial needs are met.
- Partner with Global Business Services to leverage support with client financial activities.
- Work in collaboration with the VUE US Client Financial team.
- Partners with Pearson’s credit control functions on outstanding debt collections.
- Working relationship with global tax team and legal

Training / Competencies Experience

- Make moderately decisions without guidance.
- 3-5 years experience working in financial/customer services role as part of a fast paste environment.
- Knowledge of financial systems or Pearson VUE systems.
