This role will be based in our London, UK office.
The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist will support the billing and accounts receivable efforts for our European customer base. General areas of responsibility include posting customer payments, ensuring accurate invoicing, maintaining customer account records, and ensuring collection receivables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist customers with billing and payment inquiries
- Ensure accurate billing and prepare in accordance with the customer’s account terms
- Process and apply payments accurately and in a timely manner
- AR collection management, contact and follow up with customers to collect past due receivables
- Proactively work with customers to minimize past-due accounts remain below 10%
- Review and understand customer payment terms, history, and available credit lines
- Resolve account discrepancies with account managers and/or customer
- Maintain accurate account records and reporting
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous accounts receivable experience, including working in collections
- Prior working experience in a multi-divisional/location organization
- Bilingual language skills preferred, but not required (German and English)
- Proficiency in MS Office programs
- Highly organized with a superior focus on attention to detail
- Proven time management skills able to prioritize urgent and overlapping deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Confident and assertive authority to work with delinquent customers with past-due account balances
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
