We are looking for a Bid and Project Manager to join the Space Exploration Future Programmes team, this role will suit someone from a bids, proposals or Project management background. You will be joining a small UK team, with a wider transnational department, looking after projects with values up to £10 million. You will be responsible for project teams from 5-20 people from across the business, and have responsibility for delivering winning proposals and quality projects up to Phase B1 (mission definition). Although there will be support and training, there is a strong autonomous, find information and self starter streak to this role. This is a role where you can really make a difference.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Co-ordinate and produce the proposals / Invitation to tender (ITT) response and manage early phase projects and technology development activities. Coordination of standard company proposal/project reviews
Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals/project data packs within customer defined timeframes. Delivery of proposals/studies within agreed budgets
Management of the proposal/project teams
Interface with a variety of stakeholders, including senior Space Exploration management, sales and marketing, engineering teams, cost engineering, finance, and commercial.
ABOUT YOU
Background in a complex engineering industry such as Space, Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, Telecoms, Systems Engineer and similar.
Ability to communicate project, bids and proposals details across a wide audience
Understanding of how quality, cost and time impacts on proposals and projects timelines
