Job Purpose
At Fudges Cycles, we're looking for a Bicycle Mechanic. This is a small but growing company and we're looking for someone to help us expand.
You will be able to manage your time effectively and are naturally organised; you'll be a strong communicator who builds great relationships with all types of people — customers included! And most importantly: you must have demonstrable knowledge of bike repair.
This will require you to -
- Have a passion for bikes and repairs
- Process repairs appropriately on the ePOS system
- Upsell to customers by outlining all the benefits of premium products and accessories
- Pro-actively contribute ideas and suggestions for improving our customers’ experience
Who you are and what you'll be responsible for
You will be responsible for delivering top-quality repairs and maintenance on bikes, scooters, e-bikes and cargo bikes. You will liaise with customers to gain a greater understanding of their bikes, spotting trends in the types of issues they face, working both independently and as part of a small team to deliver against targets. You must be obsessed with providing outstanding customer service — you'll be comfortable using tech to log your work and provide feedback. You will also work to SLAs to ensure that you are delivering great work on time.
You are full of energy, self-motivated and make things happen. You know when to lean in and how to work with your team to maintain a trusting environment and achieve great things together. Finally, you have an interest and a curiosity to help change the bike industry.
Your experience
- At least 6 months of experience in bicycle repair
- Experience working in retail environments
- You are a problem solver, able to pinpoint the cause of a wide range of issues, both big and small, with the tenacity to solve it
