We are recruiting a Business Intelligence Manager to lead on the development of business intelligence at LSHTM to inform strategic decision-making and planning activities. This is an exciting new role that will lead on the analysis, modelling, interpretation and visualisation of data as part of the ongoing work implementing LSHTM’s Strategy 2022-2027. The postholder will be responsible for LSHTM’s strategy key performance indicators, performance analysis for LSHTM’s integrated Planning Cycle, oversight of statutory and external data returns, promoting data quality and management of the work of the strategic planning team. The post-holder will play a critical central role in developing LSHTM’s business intelligence capabilities and in doing so will work closely with colleagues across the institution including IT Services, data leads and planning leads in central professional services and Faculties.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent and experience of working with complex data sets, data analysis and the preparation of written documents in higher education or other large organisation. Applicants should have a high degree of computer competency, in particular detailed understanding and demonstrated skill in the use of databases, spreadsheets and business intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). The post is full-time and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 7 in the range £50,048-£57,013 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part-time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
