Based out of Daventry, Northants, Simply Conveyancing is on the lookout for a first class BI Developer to take the lead on data related matters in a newly created position.
About the role
The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will empower business insight and decision making capabilities through the effective design, delivery and administration of reporting databases through to BI/associated reporting solutions in dashboard, report and raw data formats. Accuracy and consistency of data provision is fundamental. This role will initially be a standalone position, but scope may exist to grow a team of analysts in time.
What you'll be responsible for
- Leading on the design and delivery of a variety of business intelligence and reporting solutions using both traditional (MS, SQL, SSRS) and modern (BI) tools, technologies and methods
- Collating data and creating data structures and warehouses for the purpose of supporting performant and reliable business intelligence solutions
- Setting high standards for our BI and reporting approaches as well as the management of underlying data stores
- Supporting and carrying out appropriate peer review and quality control of solutions against these standards
- Management and ongoing continuous improvement of an existing and new portfolio of standard reports, dashboards and business intelligence solutions
- Coaching and managing what will become a small team of Data, Reporting and BI Developers/Analysts
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Experience in a similar data insight/reporting/business intelligence role
- High degree of proficiency with MS, SQL, SSRS
- Experience of using Power BI desirable
- Highly motivated with a curiosity to understand business process to identify issues and create solutions
- High aptitude for database schema design
- Critical thinking and analytical mindset to problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Management experience desirable
