BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER
Our Business Intelligence team is a small but impactful team that facilitates data warehousing, reporting, and analytics at PURE. The BI team extracts data from a variety of sources and integrates them to a SQL Server data warehouse and Azure data lake. Day to day tasks might range from developing modern reporting solutions using Power BI, building data pipelines using Power Automate or logic apps, transforming data with synapse or data factory, developing views, tables, and stored procedures in the database.
As the Business Intelligence developer in this team, the successful candidate will possess strong technical and analytical skills and the proven ability to gather, view and analyze all forms of information in detail and translate them into BI solutions.
You will work directly with the BI team in an agile framework. The ideal incumbent will have good SQL skills, Power BI skills, outstanding interpersonal skills and an understanding of data warehousing processes and systems. You will be a key contributor who enables PURE to make decisions by turning data into actionable insights. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who enjoys collaboration but is also able to work independently on tasks to deliver solutions on time.
Main Responsibilities
- Extracting and merging data sets from multiple data sources. Perform data cleansing, transformation, staging, exploration, analysis, and visualization with BI technologies such as Power Automate, Logic Apps, Data Factory, synapse, and SQL Server.
- Developing Power BI data models, DAX measures, and dashboards.
- Support day-to-day requests for data analysis and reporting such to support data driven decision making.
Job Requirements
- A university degree or diploma in Computing Science or similar quantitative disciplines plus 2+ years of work experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL to write complex queries involving multiple tables and develop stored procedures, triggers, user defined functions.
- Good Power BI development knowledge and skills.
- Experience in database systems including data warehouses and multi-dimensional analytic solutions. Very strong experience working with various data types.
- Good skills in Microsoft BI technologies with a high-level knowledge of SQL Server.
- Demonstrated success with strategic analytical projects, working with various stakeholders across the business areas.
- Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, workload, and multiple complex projects.
