Job description
Business Intelligence Developer
Oliver James have been appointed to recruit for a Business Intelligence Developer for a specialty Insurance business to join their Data Team to work closely with the business to produce reports in Power BI and exposure in working with the new data warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Gather requirements for reports using Power BI
- Support the implementation of new applications
- Support the 'self service' reporting with SSAS and SQL and providing end user training, troubleshooting and assistance
- Ad-hoc SQL analysis and investigation
- Develop and document ETL packages to support the warehouse and other data-driven processes
- Support the development of the data warehouse to include new data sources, and functions using SQL, SSIS, SSAS
Skills & Experience:
- Experience using Power BI, SQL, SSIS/SSAS, ETL
- Experience of producing MI and reports
- Knowledge of data warehouse design and principles
- Insurance industry experience preferable
- Strong communication skills
