The Role

In this role, you will be directly involved in enabling business improvements through your own insights/observations, you will own projects, create improvements and help influence the business. You'll be part of a BI team that supports the whole business, allowing you to build vast knowledge of Commercial Finance, Supply Chain, Property & Retail, Product and Digital.


The role requires someone who can drive how data is leveraged in solving business problems and consult with business partners in problem-definition, setting success metrics and shaping the way forward through data insights. You will gain a deep understanding of business problems and help execute the data & analytics vision and strategy. You will provide reliable, and actionable insights to partners using effective communication methods tailored to your audience.


You will be developing solutions & delivering actionable insights through dashboard design on topics such as customer behaviour and satisfaction, commercial performance, stock availability and supplier performance. You'll work with stakeholders, data engineers, analysts & data scientists to build state of the art BI solutions that enable executive and senior managers to monitor business performance and make data driven decisions.

  • Designing and delivering BI solutions, offering actionable insights for rapid data-informed decision-making
  • Relay complex, technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Developing high quality, accurate and timely reports and dashboards using SQL & Metabase
  • Working with large and complex data. You should have an understanding of the design, creation, and business use of large data volumes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and define key business questions, and to build datasets that answer those questions
  • Strive to understand business processes/problems and identify opportunities'
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather & document requirements


The Person
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Advanced dashboarding skills with Tableau/Power BI/Qlik/Metabase or similar
  • Experience in a BI development role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to understand and solve business problems
  • Strong ability to gather, transform, and analyse data
  • Excellent data visualisation skills
