Job description
This is an exciting role working with BI tools as part of a wider ERP solution.
The role will be responsible for ongoing development of the MJM Business Intelligence infrastructure. It will involve ongoing use, monitoring and development of Business Intelligence using the Azure Analytics Stack. It will involve capturing business analytics requirements, developing automated solutions and providing end-user training.
As the BI Analyst/Developer, you will assist in helping to define the overall BI reporting of Dynamics 365, including any associated systems/applications.
You will manage the BI reporting for the business creating end to end Business Intelligence solutions, requirements gathering and data visualisation/dashboards.
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a similar Business Intelligence Role
- Strong working experience with any of the following PowerBI/SSAS/SQL
- Developing insights and dashboards using visualization tools
- Understanding best practices in report aesthetics
- Methodical approach to documentation
- Strong written skills, including the ability to write technical documentation.
- Knowledge off, or experience in the use of Azure Data Catalogue
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to Prioritise and organise work under pressure.
Desirable Criteria:
- ERP System implementation or integration experience
- An understanding of D365 execution
- Good Working Knowledge of Power BI Including DAX.
- Strong understanding of data modelling and ETL processes.
- Prior experience with developing and maintaining data warehouses.
- Strong SQL coding Including the ability to configure stored procedures, merge statements and try catch for error handling.
- Strong experience with performance monitoring and optimization.
- Good working knowledge of the development and creation of Analysis Server Tabular Models including the use of Visual studio for their development.
- Strong experience of using Azure Data Factory for ETL processing in addition to working with Azure SQL Databases
- Experience of using Bus Matrix and other analytic templates for developing data models.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar Business Intelligence Role
- Educated to Degree level
