We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent interpersonal skills to join our small, supportive and busy team as an Administrative Assistant. This is a permanent role based mainly at the Royal Stoke University Hospital (some flexibility is required).
We invite applications from candidates who meet the essential criteria on the Person Specification. We can offer up to 32 hours per week, but for the right person we would consider less hours per week (to be discussed on an individual basis).
Our department can be fast paced, and the work we do is of a highly sensitive and confidential nature. You will deal with the bereaved and be exposed to hearing about death on a daily basis. Key skills to have if you are thinking of applying for this role include: -

As a Bereavement Administrative Assistant, you will provide comprehensive clerical and general enquiry support. The main duties include responding to telephone enquiries from bereaved family members of deceased patients and Funeral Directors, processing information and providing advice in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
You will work proactively as part of a small team, assisting colleagues in organising the workload, carrying out various tasks that ultimately support the delivery of an efficient and compassionate service that is sensitive to the needs of the bereaved.
