Background:
A vacancy has arisen for a full time job share Receptionist to join the existing support team at our Sheffield South West Office. Previous front of house experience is essential for this role and ideally gained within a busy legal environment.
Hours:
This role is a full time position and the hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, 35 hours per week.
Role Summary:
The team are responsible for meeting and greeting of clients, diary management, meeting room management, housekeeping, file opening and closing, filing, photocopying and general administrative duties including the management of the reception area.
Candidates must be team players with good administration skills and excellent communication skills when dealing with clients both face to face and over the telephone. Candidates must understand the importance of client service and have worked within a professional services environment.
Experience of file opening and a legal background is an advantage but not essential and on the job training will be provided.
Desirable key skills and experiences:
- Experience of working as a Receptionist or Legal Secretary in a Solicitor’s Practice.
- Accurate typing with a minimum speed of 40 wpm.
- Ability to input information quickly and accurately.
- Ability to manage and organise large volumes of documents.
- Confident in use of email and other systems in daily work.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of OMS document management..

- Providing an efficient administrative service to the legal departments and teams at the branch office.
- Ability to meet KPI’s including number and accuracy of clients and matters opened.
