Salary: up to £40,000 + per annum plus Veolia bonus
Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

What you'll be doing;
-Responsible for day to day safe and efficient operation of the Battery Recycling Site activities including managing a team and the delivery of strong operational performance including production, asset availability, safety and compliance.
-Working closely with the operations, maintenance and engineering teams to deliver robust engineering solutions
-Direct and coordinate all aspects of running the facility / operation - discharge, dismantling, shredding
-Manage all emergency situations including troubleshooting and breakdowns
-Lead the investigation of all accidents, incidents and significant close calls, audits and inspections
-Ensure daily / weekly checks are carried out, including plant, vehicles and equipment / permit checks.
-Coordinate and assist in reporting to regulators e.g Waste Returns, Annual Reports, Emission reports etc
-Assist in ensuring CAPEX annual budget process is delivered and alignment gained through relevant stakeholders.
-Managing and reporting data to the EA for the ABTO/ABE battery authorisations.
-Developing documented management and safety systems for this new operation
What we're looking for;
-Experience of managing an operational team and leading others
-Risk Management
-Technical experience from a continuous process background (preferably hazardous waste management)
-Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) (desirable)
-Experience in Chemical Processes (desirable)
-NEBOSH Certification (desirable)
-Plant Operation and Maintenance experience (desirable)
