We are looking for Bartender/Servers to work as part of a friendly team in our family owned pub in the village of Mortehoe.
The pub can get very busy at peak times and the successful candidate must be able to remain calm under pressure and be respectful to other members of staff at all times.
Our customers comprise mostly of couples or families on holiday so patience and the ability to deal politely and pleasantly with a variety of enquiries is essential.
Duties include:
- Welcoming and greeting customers
- Serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Serving food to customers
- Responding to customer complaints and queries, referring to Management where necessary.
- Performing cash/credit card handling procedures..
- Retrieving, storing, and accounting for stock items.
- Keeping the bar area clean and tidy at all times
The shifts that need filling are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday each week. We welcome applications to work just one or two of the days.
A free cooked meal is provided during your shift along with unlimited free soft drinks, tea and coffee. Discounted additional food is also available if wanted.
The hourly rate is £12.00 - £12.50 per hour and in addition to the hourly pay, a 50p per hour loyalty bonus will be paid in a lump sum at the end of the season.
You will receive a share of the tips left at the bar, also paid in a lump sum at the end of the season.
Wages are paid every 2 weeks by transfer in to your bank account.
This is a seasonal position, starting in March and finishing at the end of October. There is no accommodation available with this position.
