Relais & Chateau at Thornbury Castle are seeking a Bartender to join our professional Food & Beverage Team. You will be working in a unique and beautifully restored Castle, creating truly memorable and impressive 5* experiences for our guests.
About Us
Set on 15 acres of beautiful land, Thornbury Castle Hotel is the only Tudor Castle operating as a hotel in England. The Castle has almost completed a multi-million pound refurbishment program bringing back to life the regal grandeur of its past. Located 20 minutes’ drive from Bristol, it offers 27 rooms and suites, an award-winning restaurant, bar and two unique meeting and conference spaces. our food style is modern British using the best locally sourced produce from our kitchen garden and around the southwest. We operate 7 days a week, serving breakfast, afternoon tea, dinner, and Sunday lunch as well as the occasional wedding and functions.

- £11.10 per hour dependant on experience
- This role can be offered as a Part time or a Full time permanent position – 24 - 40 hours per week worked over 3 or 5 days mainly evening shifts and week end availability
- Shifts between 12.30 to 00.00
- An additional share of service charge and tips every 2 months (about 2/3 k per year)

- Greet guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Knowledge of traditional cocktails and spirits
- Answer all queries about the menu including drinks and make suggestions
- Take ownership of guest’s requirements and food allergies
- Follow Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures
- Set up the dining areas and process charges and payments
- Effectively communicate with managers and all colleagues
- Experience with handling guest queries and complaints
- Natural passion and flair for the industry and food
