The Avenue Cinema, a new fully licensed luxury cinema experience in the heart of Belfast, is seeking to recruit for the role of Bartender.
The ideal candidate will bring their service skills and flair to our front of house team. In addition to overseeing the creation of premium drinks, the successful candidate will gain knowledge in other areas of the bar service and cinema operation.
Our bartenders will have an integral role in helping to create a fun, professional and safe place to work whilst meeting and surpassing the needs of every customer they greet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment with great attention to detail.
- To ensure that the bar and concession areas are set up & closed down daily as per training and guidelines, this includes working alongside the bar team to collectively complete tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised station, including stocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
- Assist with the day-to-day smooth running of the bar and customer service and to diligently complete all tasks as assigned by senior managers.
- Dealing one-to-one with customer enquiries or issues, assisting, and reporting up the line to duty managers wherever necessary.
- Ensure that all hot, cold, alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages are served and presented in a timely manner and as per training.
- To follow correct guidelines on uniform wear alongside high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
- Adhere to all elements of licensing laws and health and safety within the workplace.
- Any other tasks and/or duties as directed by management.
Essential Criteria:
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a busy bar environment.
- 1-2 years’ cocktail experience.
- Good knowledge of wine, beers and spirits.
- Experienced in dealing with front of house systems for a contemporary POS system.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desire to work as part of a team to deliver industry leading standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a focus on customer service and standards.
- Fully flexible to work days, evenings and weekend shifts.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £11.42 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
