Sam's Riverside - Critically acclaimed Modern British Restaurant & Bar on the Hammersmith Riverside overlooking Hammersmith Bridge, the restaurant has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2019 (despite Covid) and we are looking for vibrant and creative Cocktail Bartenders to join our amazing team. Although some experience is required, it is your personality, energy, work ethics and can do attitude that will count. Being able to carry a tray and open a bottle of wine is a plus (screw caps do not count).

We are a busy high end brasserie with 200 covers per evening service, which increases during the summer months due to the riverside location and our beautiful terrace. Speed and organisation will be crucial for this role, as well as preparing house & classic cocktails and dispensing drinks, you will also serve dinning guests at the bar counter.

Experience in busy restaurants essential. As front of house you will have exceptional customer service skills. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working in a fast paced restaurant with a focused team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits
  • Taking beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Assessing customer preferences and making drink recommendations
  • Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
  • Keeping a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories
  • Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area to maintain a sanitary environment
  • Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Slicing, pitting, and preparing fruit garnishes for drinks
  • Preparing and serving appetisers, snacks, or other food items for customers at the bar
  • Complying with all food and beverage regulations
  • Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behaviour

Expertise

  • Previous experience in a service environment is crucial; especially in high volume brasserie style restaurants.
  • Fine Dining would also be advantageous as we are developing a quality driven dining experience.
