Market House is a one-of-a-kind dining and meeting space in the heart of Cambridge. Spread over five floors of the iconic Grade II listed building, Market House comprises an all-day cafe, a more formal restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an evening Wine Bar, a Food Lab, and flexible meeting spaces.

We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to join our Market House bar team. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable, and passionate about drink and customer service. 1-year (at least) of experience is essential. We need team players with a 'can-do' attitude and approachable manner, willing to learn and to ensure the guests receive the highest levels of service throughout their experience. Full training on our drink menu and the POS system will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Checking customer identification and age verification
  • Preparing drinks from our drink menu
  • Serving food and drinks
  • Engaging with customers
  • Using of POS systems, to take orders and process payments
  • Stock control. Monitoring and replenishing
  • Waste control- monitoring
  • Maintaining a clean and organised bar area
  • Adhering to all SOPs, including Food Hygiene, allergens, COSSH and HACCAP

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 years relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of Bar equipment
  • Good knowledge of bar product range and bar trends
  • Good knowledge of licensing legislation, including weights and measures
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene, allergens
  • High-level of customer service, and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to embrace new ideas
  • Team player qualities
  • Positive and approachable manner

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-40 per week

Salary: Up to £12.50 per hour
