Maison Estelle is a private club set in a Grade I-listed Georgian townhouse on Grafton Street, Mayfair. A ‘hosted home’, bringing people together that have plenty to say and nothing to prove. A new school club (no rules), with old school values of personalised service and discretion.

Our Bartender will be responsible for creating an exceptional experience for our members as well as overseeing the smooth operational running of the bar. You will be preparing and serving a wide range of beverages, opening and closing the bar and creating classic and innovative drinks exceeding members’ needs and expectations every time. You should uphold the highest standards and ensure the member experience is always in line with our members club standards.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The key responsibilities for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and overseeing the service of alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for our members ensuring they are always in line with our members club standards.
- Making sure the bar is set up and closed accurately and on time; cleaned, restocked, garnishes and all mise en place and relevant batching prepared and ready on time.
- Informing colleagues and team members about our beverage offering and prices.
- Ensuring all items are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware and in the correct manner.
- Organising the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
- Ensuring use of till systems and payment processes are in line with SOP’s and standards.
- Being aware of our members who are drinking and / dining with us and ensure the bar team personally tailor their service appropriately.
- Maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the entire bar menu, including the beer, wine and cocktail lists.
- Talking with our members to assess their needs and preferences and make relevant recommendations for them.
Proactively managing any member complaints in the moment escalating to a member of the management team where necessary ensuring they leave happy with a positive lasting impression.
PERSONAL PROFILE
- Proven experience on the beverage departments in a luxury / lifestyle multi-outlet food and beverage operation.
- Stays up to date with current beverage trends and best practices.
- Must be able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends due to the operational hours of the club.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management and being front of house building relationships with our members.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
