Job description

Foundation Coffee House is looking for a friendly and outgoing full time Barista to join our Northern Quarter team

As an experienced Barista, you will be reporting to the shift runner and play a key role in creating a very warm and welcoming environment for our customers. Whilst working at speed, you will be preparing and serving hot and cold drinks and snacks to the highest of standards along with taking orders and payments. You will also take real pride in your workplace and be a fun and personable individual

What we are looking for

  • 1 years experience behind a coffee machine in a fast paced environment
  • Latte art champion
  • A strong multitasker who can work well under pressure
  • Someone with a can do attitude and a continued willingness to learn
  • Strong personalities who have a genuine interest in hospitality and looking for progression opportunities
  • Cultural awareness of the coffee scene
  • Someone who can deliver an exceptional experience for our customers and ensure repeat business

Job roles

  • Make great tasting and well presented hot drinks
  • Taking orders and payments and delivering food & drinks to tables
  • Ensure the bar and floor area is clean, tidy and stocked
  • Ensure all brewing equipment is functioning and report any issues to the cafe manager
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations
  • Keep up to date with our daily online compliance system, Trail
  • Support other parts of the shop when required
  • Recommend any new menu items you think might suit the business

Working hours

  • Your working hours will average at 37 per week
  • You will be working a mixture of weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, so your full commitment will be required.
  • We operate daytime hours although we hold the occasional evening event where we may ask you to work
