Location: Buckinghamshire - High Wycombe
Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour
Working pattern: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, Monday - Sunday
Job Purpose:
- To provide a friendly, warm and knowledgeable service to all customers.
- To work as directed to prepare and serve both espresso and filter-based coffee following the standards set out by the CH&CO Barista academy and Specialty Coffee Association (SCA).
- Coffee knowledge and skill level expected to be aligned to SCA foundation barista and brewing skills.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Coffee Service
- Prepare and serve all coffee beverages in a timely manner and to the CH&CO standard.
- To fulfil daily, weekly and monthly cleaning and maintenance routines for coffee equipment
- Calibrate coffee machine and grinder
- Complete daily calibration log
- Alter espresso recipe as required
- Check water quality using water testing kits
- Manage storage and stock rotation of coffee beans, ground coffee and milk supply
- Keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&CO standards.
- Communicate with customers about our coffee products
- Manage allergens in the barista area
- Produce espresso-based coffees with latte art
- Produce filter coffee to recipe on a range of brew methods
