The Garth Hotel is hiring for a Restaurant Assistant/Bar Staff

We are looking for Restaurant Assistants 18+ to assist with the management of the dining room.

Responsibilities
Provide assistance to customers during dinner service and maintain efficient service at the dining room.

• Take orders, pay attention to details, and follow procedures.
• Responsible for maintaining the dining room and ensuring that all guests have an enjoyable dining experience.
• Answer questions or make recommendations based on the guest's food preferences or dietary restrictions.
• Assess customers' needs and provide solutions to problems with speed and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff.
• Check food quality and temperature to ensure that all food is cooked promptly and consistently.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, including the tables, equipment, utensils, and floors.
• Stock food and other items as needed.
• Ensure that all bills are paid promptly and accurately.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Perform under pressure effectively. Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work in a team environment. Must be able to work weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 12 per week

Salary: From £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Grantown on Spey: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
• customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
• Bartending: 1 year (preferred)
