You are the excitement factor in the Fireside Cafe…You bring the café to life! You have a passion for great food and coffees, and it shows in your job as well as your life. You will provide high quality customer service to all guests in a speedy, professional and efficient manner. This position requires shift work and is a seasonal position that could lead into a year-round opportunity.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver a positive attitude to all guests while generating a feeling of being in the friendliest atmosphere on the planet.
- You will become proficient in creating all of coffee-based products and in-house recipes.
- You are able to work in a high-paced environment while performing multiple tasks.
- Perform daily outside building walks and ensure the entrance to the deli is always impressive.
- Perform side work, daily and weekly duties before, during and after your shift.
- Help others in all phases of the job.
- Assist in the restaurant as needed.
- Follow all management/supervisor direction.
- You are able to work in a speedy fashion while delivering great customer service.
- Participate in creating a team environment and use animation and incentive programs to provide a fun atmosphere for employees and guests.
- Ensure all patrons are of the legal drinking age by requesting and inspecting identification.
- Know and follow all our guiding principles and embody our employee profile.
- Possess the ability to serve tables and have a desire to learn.
- Ensure personal hygiene and maintain a clean, crisp and professional appearance.
- Secondary Education Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Must have at least 6 months experience in a guest service-related job.
- Barista and restaurant service is an asset.
- Serving it Right Certificate
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and carry 50 lbs.
