Our Head Barista will demonstrate a real passion to join our Monty's family. You should be motivated and want to be a positive role model. With no day being the same, you must be organised and clear talking to maximise your potential and to deliver fresh food, bread and pastries to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and smoothies
- Take customer orders and process payments using cash handling and cashiering skills
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food service or retail industry is preferred but not essential
- Strong math skills for cash handling and basic retail math calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Reliability to open and close the shop safely and on time
- Flexible approach and can-do attitude
