Primary Colours is an all day cafe whose purpose is to positively impact people’s lives through food, baking and coffee. We are the exciting new concept from the Monogram Coffee team. Our daily mission is to spark people’s imaginations and bring people together through food, coffee and baking. As an all-day cafe, we are a wonderful mix of bustling cafe, fresh and cheery restaurant, and the warmth of a bakery. What we’re hiring for
We are hiring for a server / barista position working with the coffee and beverage programs of Primary Colours. We're looking for someone passionate about serving others, loves coffee and drinks and how it can bring people together. As a front of house staff, you will report directly to the Front of House Manager and Senior Leadership.
In your role, you will be responsible for providing table service to our guests, taking orders, making espresso and filter based drinks, upholding a world-class standard of coffee service, serving pastries, cleaning and organizing the cafe, and completing other tasks important to the smooth functioning of our cafe. You will also be responsible for preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ordered by dine-in and takeaway guests, such as sodas, kombucha, wine and cocktails. We are looking for people that are passionate about their community, have empathy to the people they interact with, and who love to work within a team. This role also requires a commitment to actively create a safe and equitable space for all races, religions, cultures, sexual orientations and gender identities. Careful listening, critical problem solving and empathy are intangible assets for this role. Our collective goal is to provide exceptional guest care while serving our community through what we do.

Some of your tasks:
- Being responsible for a section in the dining room and serving our guests that dine-in for brunch and dinner service.
- Running the coffee bar and preparing and serving drinks for guests dining in, as well as to-go on the cafe side
- Preparing other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for our dine-in and takeaway guests
- Serving pastries, sandwiches alongside other grab and go food
- Working in service alongside your team, building relationships with the community and one another
- Operating under restaurant procedures and protocols
- Assisting in cafe operations tasks, such as inventories, restocking, cleaning and organization
- Work well and understand the vision of the leadership group
- Support, grow and help each person on the team
- Be ready to respond to emergencies, shift coverages or other issues.

Requirements
- Maintaining a current Pro serve certification is mandatory for this position
