Job description
HOLKE, an independent cafe, is looking for team of passionate Barista’s, known as Geni’s, for our new store in Worthing, West Sussex. The team will be vibrant, ensuring outstanding customer service and making the best coffee whilst ensuring health and safety, cleanliness of the café and serving our customers are at the upmost of importance.
Role Responsibility
Reporting to the Manager, you will be the faces of the café, providing a vibrant, comprehensive, and quality coffee and food offer and engaging with customers

- Experience in working in a busy café environment
- Experience in serving food as part of your daily routine
- Strong and proven experience in providing first-class customer care
- Experienced at maintaining excellent hygiene and cleanliness in the working environment
- High level of self-motivation, with the ability to take the initiative and be able to multitask especially during peak periods
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serving customers drinks and food delivered in a professional, friendly, and approachable style
Ensure all food and beverage items are well presented and consistently served to the required standard
To ensure all displays, counters and café seating are clean, tidy, and hygienic and in line with our standards
To promote excellent standards of safety and cleanliness
Keeping an eye on stock levels, ordering, working within the budget
To follow setting up and closing down procedures, including any washing up if required
To develop and maintain high levels of customer engagement and service with all customers
To create and maintain a friendly, vibrant and supportive atmosphere in the café
To adhere to cashing up procedures and monetary handling processes via our till system
Following all health and safety guidelines
Being aware of and following operational policies and procedures
Last but not least, as the face of the café, be a fully-engaged member of the team
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
Full training to Barista level if required
