Café Allrounder (Barista/Assistant Gelatiere)
We are a small family owned café operating in downtown Huntsville. We specialize in artisanal confections and traditional European beverages. We are looking for one employee to join our team. This position requires self-directed and outgoing individuals who are interested in learning about artisanal European beverages and confectionery, preferably with previous experience in customer service or confectionery.
This role will require good problem solving skills, as well as excellent people skills.
Job Description:
- Prep fruit for gelato
- Assist in production of gelato and other confections
- Maintain a clean environment
- You will train with our Head Barista on the espresso machine, and will be required to learn our menu featuring espresso based beverages. Once fully trained you will be responsible to serve drinks while on shift.
- Greet customers
- Provide prompt and personal service to customers
- Maintain a positive attitude and atmosphere
- Work cash register
- Open and close the cafe with help from a supervisor

** Our cafe operates very seasonally, so you will likely be working up front on the bar during the winter and fall; and would be assisting in the kitchen for the summer months.
Schedule Info:
This position is full time and will require you to have a flexible schedule.
5-8 hour shifts
4-6 days a week
Weekdays, most weekends, and some stat holidays.
