Barista/ All-Rounder (accommodation is available for the right candidate/s)

Role responsibility:

Operational:

• Greet customers when they walk through the door
• Build rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
• Ring up sales and arrange for delivery of the customer’s order
• Make great coffee
• Upsell extra items when appropriate, syrups, extra items and street food nights
• Invite customers to search our website for new ideas
• Keep shop and facilities clean and tidy
• Deliver orders to table in a timely manner
• Clear tables and clean in a timely manner
• Loading, unloading the dishwasher
• Helping clear the kitchen of used crockery and pots and pans under the guidance of the head chef
• Making sure all relevant chemicals are full and safe to use
• Making sure the water softener is regenerated once a week when descaling dishwasher
• Remove rubbish to outside bins.
• Answering the phone in a timely and friendly manner
• Ordering produce when needed
• Deliveries when needed
• Team player
• Work the PoS machines
• Good oral communication with customers and line managers
• Enthusiasm to develop your own skills and knowledge
• Adhere to all food safety guidelines and all health and safety guidelines
• Understand the product, possible allergens and cross contamination
• Basic addition and subtraction
• Cleaning the coffee machine daily
• Cashing up and recording the takings accurately
• Making sure there is enough cash in the float for the following day
• Filling all items as and when needed
• Leaving the business clean and tidy at the end of day
• Attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour

Experience:

• Front of house: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Personal Scottish Alcohol License (preferred)
