JOB & PERSONAL SPECIFICATION - CASUAL BAR STAFF
To greet, direct and ensure the safety of members of the public visiting the Millennium Forum.
Preference will be shown to those who can demonstrate excellence in customer service in a sales environment. You will be required to work flexible hours including daytimes, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Essential
- BAR EXPERIENCE - PREVIOUS WORK IN BUSY BAR AS BAR STAFF ESSENTIAL
- Ability to work face to face with diverse customers in a confident way
- Engaging and welcoming
- Remains calm when working under pressure
Desirable- please demonstrate on application form
- Experience of hospitality work
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures
- Ability to work on a till
- A good listener with an ability to be easily understood by others
- Ability to clean and sanitize your surroundings

- Experience working safely while manual handling
- Experience of working with customers with various access requirements
- May involve some weekend and evening work

ROLE

REPORTING TO
- Front Of House Manager/ Duty Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To report for duty, punctually, wearing the correct uniform
- To prepare the bar for service, following established jobs lists as directed by the duty manager
- To serve beverages, consistently achieving the required standards.
- To sell food/drink/ merchandise in the shop/ concession, consistently achieving the required standards.
- To record all sales accurately.
- To be responsible for cash, gift vouchers and credit/debit cards received from the customer and to account for these payments at the end of the shift.
- To ensure that a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained by following cleaning routines and through ongoing diligence during the shift and in set up and clean down procedures.
- To observe and understand the company’s fire plan and health and safety policy
- To observe the rules and procedures of the company as per the employee handbook.
The Millennium Forum will conduct a shortlisting exercise based on the information you have provided.
The initial selection exercise will be based on the essential criteria from the job and personal specification.
Furthermore the Millennium Forum reserves the right to supplement the short listing criteria using the desirable criteria from the above specification as essential criteria.
Job Type: Zero hours contract
Salary: £10.42 per hour
