Job description
We are recruiting on behalf of our customer, IPL Ltd for Production Operatives in Sittingbourne, Kent.
IPL Sittingbourne site has just recently EXPANDED and they need you to join their new facility and even bigger team.
This is a 4 on 4 off shift pattern either working on their 7am – 7pm shift or 7pm – 7am shift.
For day shift you can earn £10.35 per hour plus bonus, with the opportunity to earn up to £10.85 or night shift earn £11.30 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to £11.80 with bonus

About the Role
As a Production Operative you will assist in managing the product (Fresh Produce) flow through the line, quality sort and dress out defects, ensuring product specifications are met. You will ensure products are correctly packed and labelled to target in line with company and customer expectations and ensure that you report any defects or poor quality to Line Leader.
You will correctly pack finished goods safely, to specification standards and in the correct orientation within each tray and safely stack trays to a required height.
What are we looking for?
Ideally, previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment is essential, specifically within a manufacturing/packhouse/produce background is desirable.
You should have good practical skills and the ability to work quickly and methodically and within a team whilst have the ability to concentrate whilst doing repetitive tasks and follow instructions.
With a ‘Can do’ attitude and proactive approach, you should have an understanding of health and safety policies in the work place and entry level in both written and spoken English.

About the site
Sittingbourne is the second largest of our operations where we also pack fresh fruit and vegetables.
Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day, employing over 500 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Quality Assurance to Site Planners, Warehouse Operatives to Shift Operation Managers. We also have a small of number of support roles to facilitate the day to day running of the operation
