JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Part-Time Bar and Catering Assistant
Reports to: Bar & Catering Manager or Club General Manager
Job Purpose:
· To deliver excellent service to members, customers and maximise bar & Catering income day to day and at events
· To present a positive image of the organisation by being polite, friendly and helpful to all members & visitors.
Bar & Catering team members are specifically responsible for delivering daily and event-based bar and catering service by setting up the bars day to day and during events, dealing with a wide range of members, customers and functions.
Events:
1. To set up bars and catering day to day and for events.
2. Ensure that licensing objectives are upheld
3. Maintaining a smart appearance, following uniform regulations (uniform supplied).
4. Establishing customer requirements and dispensing beverages/ snacks promptly and efficiently.
5. Informing members customers of additional bar services such as food, advising members & customers of daily specials, resolving minor queries and customer complaints.
6. To have sufficient product knowledge to ensure members & customers are helped with their order.
7. To follow the correct opening and closing procedures as set out by your line manager
8. Cash handling, counting floats and using tills responsibly.
9. To be fully aware of the company and personal responsibilities with regards to licensing legislation.
10. Cleaning/ tidying of bar and catering areas, including the kitchen, bar counter, cellar, dry stores, clubhouse chairs, tables and flooring.
11. Reporting maintenance issues through your line manager.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
·Sense of Humour and able to work in a team
· Experience preferred, but full training will given

OUTLINE TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Casual
Hours: zero hours basis. Weekend shift patterns will vary.
Contract Term: Casual
Salary: minimum £10.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
