After an exciting refurbishment of our venues (and menus), the managers of "Ate O'Clock Restaurant" & "Social 8 Lounge" are looking for staff with at least 6 months -1 year of experience in a hospitality setting, who are happy to work in a fast-paced environment.

As part of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive the highest level of customer service, so they come back time and time again.

You will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, taking orders for food and drink, serving food and beverages, cleaning and resetting tables, answering phone calls and other general duties.

If you already have bar experience, you may be required for a role behind one of our 3 bars where mixology skills and drink knowledge are a must!

You will need excellent time management and communication skills, be able to demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.

Most importantly, you will have a passion for customer service, and enjoy providing a memorable service.

As two businesses next door to each other, we work very closely together, and this means there will be various opportunities for training and gaining experience in other roles.

We require the following:

Part time staff

All availability will be considered, and may include afternoon, evening and weekend working. Pay starts at minimum wage, dependant on experience and position but this is supported by very generous service charges & cash tips, that are shared between staff only.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic maths skills and ability to money handle
  • Written and spoken English at least conversational level
  • Able to work in a standing position, completing physical work for extended periods of time
  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment (6 months)

DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of food presentation, preparation, and handling
  • Previous experience using a POS system
  • Interest in learning and growing within the company
  • Previous experience in a hospitality environment (1yr+)
  • Good telephone manner
  • Understanding of food safety
  • Food and beverage service knowledge

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

Salary: £7.49-£10.50 per hour
