About the role

This role is to join an established team supporting a 29-year-old man in his own spacious bungalow and in the community.

Our client, who has a brain injury, has a great sense of humour and varied interests.
For example, he enjoys bowling, arcade games, and putting on comedy shows in a small stage in his games room. Sport-wise he supports Sheffield Wednesday and while he’s not an especially athletic person, he has just started visiting the gym.

You’ll be expected to work on a one-to-one basis with our client, and to perform domestic duties, like cooking and cleaning, and while there won’t be any significant personal care involved, he may need a little help putting on T-shirts and socks and will need prompting for showering and teeth brushing.

He lives in a quiet neighbourhood and doesn’t have any pets – although his grandparents bring their small dogs with them on their visits.

As for our client getting out and about, you will need your own car and to be a confident driver. Most journeys will be local, say for shopping or visits to the gym, our client enjoys trips farther afield to Sheffield’s Graves Park, or sometimes to
