Bank Night Concierge
St Aidans Road, South Shields
£10.20
Hours as and when required – covering shifts from 7.30pm – 3.30am
Do you need flexibility in the days you work? Our bank roles (sometimes referred to as “relief roles” in other companies) mean that you will be able to choose from available shifts and have the benefits of a consistent workplace combined with opportunity to build positive relationships with the individuals we support. However you aren’t guaranteed shifts every week as hours are worked as and when required.
We are seeking an experienced Bank Night Concierge to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. St Aidans Road provides support for people aged 18 and upwards who have been diagnosed with a mental health illness or personality disorder.
We provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training to develop new and existing skills and encourage progression. Sanctuary has their own Learning and Development Academy, who provide a wide range of training courses, open to all

The role of Bank Night Concierge will include:
- Being a first point of call to receive and direct all customer and client queries
- Going above and beyond to ensure an excellent service is provided to our clients
- Completing concierge checklists, feeding back information and completing incident reports if required
- Preparing communal areas for residents, including kitchens and bathrooms and ensuring that the security of service users is maintained
- Handling occasional emergency/challenging situations
- Health and safety responsibilities e.g. fire safety checks
- This role will include long periods of night and lone working
Skills and experiences:
- Previous experience of working within a similar role is required
- Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or people with mental health needs would be advantageous
- Basic health and safety knowledge, with the ability to carry out minor repairs
- Basic health care and hygiene standards knowledge
- Friendly and approachable attitude with the ability to communicate and engage with our residents, visitors and colleagues
