- As a Healthcare Support Worker, you will be paid at band 2:
- £11.45 per hour- Week days
- £12.51* per hour- Nights and Saturdays
- £21.53* per hour- Sundays and Bank Holidays
- All rates are inclusive of annual leave allowance

- You will increase your skill set by working with multidisciplinary teams to deliver all admin support across many different areas within the Trust.
- Delivering clinical and therapeutic care to patients as required within the scope of the Senior Health Care Support Worker remit
- Participating in patient assessment (under the direction of and after appropriate delegation from the Registered Practitioner/Assistant Practitioner) to deliver high standards of care
- Providing information to other members of the multi-disciplinary team on the care/therapy provided
- Maintain the work environment in line with Trust Infection prevention and Health and Safety policies
If you are successful, please be aware that you will be required to complete 25 long-day day shifts or 50 short shifts before you have access to book night shifts. This is to ensure you have gained the skills and experience to work night shifts as the demands are very different with fewer staff and less support available. This helps to support staff and maintain patient safety.
You will be required to complete a maximum of 3 days face to face training. Other training are to completed on line and is accessible from your personal computer/laptop etc.

- Support Registered nursing/midwifery staff in the provision of basic nursing care to patients by assisting patients to maximise their independence with: -
- Personal Hygiene
- Diet & Fluids
- Dressing
- Toileting, including emptying and changing urine drainage bags according to Trust procedures
- Mobilising, regaining independence
- Rest & Sleep
- Help to promote and maintain a clean and comfortable environment on the ward/department, which meets the needs of patients, their relatives/carers and
- Contribute to accurate written and computerised documentation relevant to patient care ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times g. fluid charts, food charts and care plans, recording of height and weight.
- Assist the multi professional team to prepare and support patients undergoing treatment and/or investigation, maintaining privacy and dignity at all Chaperone patients during intimate procedures as required.
- Escort non-acute patients who do not have treatment in progress and/or their relatives/carers to other departments within the Trust and other hospitals within the
- Be aware of the importance of good health and the health education needs of patients which are identified within individual care
