HOURS OF WORK Ad-Hoc
SALARY £10.29 per hour
REPORTS TO Specialist Palliative Care Unit Manager
ACCOUNTABLE TO Director of Clinical Services
We welcome applications to join the In-Patient Unit team, assisting nursing staff to provide a high standard of direct nursing care to patients and their families. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, developing good communications between patients, families and nursing staff and helping to maintain patient wellbeing and comfort.
The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ (level 2) in health and social care or equivalent, have string communication skills and experience of working in a caring environment.
The Kirkwood provide specialist care, free of charge, to adults in Kirklees with advanced, progressive illnesses at any time from diagnosis to the end of life, respecting their individual needs and wishes. Care and support are also provided for their family members, friends, and carers, both during the illness and after death. Through education, training, and partnership with others, we improve care for everyone affected by a life limiting illness.
