As a Bank Advanced Nurse Practitioner with independent prescribing, you'll deliver face-to-face services, enabling patients to obtain health information from the appropriate health care professional. You will be providing safe and effective health assessments and treatment of patients within the establishment.
You'll be accountable for your practice including the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge or referral of patients, independent of medical intervention.
Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team in providing quality, evidence-based health care to meet the immediate needs of the patient, you'll take an active role within the cross-disciplinary, multi-skilled team to ensure service quality in line with corporate goals and strategy; to assist in the implementation of the wellbeing approach which has a positive impact on the health economy.
About You
You will be an Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN), with a Masters in Advanced Practice or equivalent and a recognised prescribing qualification.

You’ll receive a bank hourly rate of £40.

HMP Belmarsh is a Category A men’s prison with an operational capacity of over 910 inmates and is located in South East London.
HM Prison Thameside is a local Category B resettlement prison as is based in the Thamesmead area of the Royal Borough of Greenwich, South-East London.
Both HMP’s Belmarsh and Thameside are located next to each other, and are only a short (2 minute) walk away, making the ability to work across both of the sites an effective opportunity for this role.
