Maxxima’s nursing team is currently recruiting for a Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to fill full-time roles in the Mental Health Team based in Essex. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of working with Mental Health Services.
We are looking for the Band 7 CAMHS Practitioner to work for at least 2-3 months in Essex working within the E&K EWMHS Southend Team and start ASAP.
This role is a Band 7 position and will pay up to £28 (umbrella rate)
The shift pattern is 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday

Responsibilities: Assessment of children and young people with mental health issues; Formulation of needs and care planning: provide 1:1 evidence based therapeutic intervention and family interventions (CBT, person centred, systemic, DBT etc). Provide robust risk management and multi-agency partnership working around the child. Carry caseload of 10-15 young people for treatment. Provide key working, advice and support to those awaiting treatment. Work as part of MDT.
Skills: CAMHS experience essential. Experience of delivering therapeutic intervention (CBT, DBT, Systemic, Solution focused. Experience with Anxiety, Suicidality, Self-harm, Depression/ ADHD and conduct and behavioural disorders, OCD, Psychosis, Personality disorders, disordered eating. Experience of adapting treatment for those with neurodiversity (ASD) and co-morbid mental health. Strong assessment and risk management skills. Children's safeguarding. Record keeping. care planning.
