Job summary
We are seeking to appoint a permanent IT Project Manager (Junior) to join our rapidly expanding IT/EPR Project Management team at UHB.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to manage small to medium scaled projects. The position will play a key part in of delivering key ICT projects on behalf of and alongside Trust departments.
You will be required to develop strong leadership and communications skills to ensure all project requirements are fully understood, agreed, documented, and delivered to the satisfaction of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of assigned projects within the agreed timescales.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
- A good understanding and working knowledge of PRIINCE 2/Agile Methodologies
- Advanced level of IT literacy with experience of using a range of IT Systems/Applications
- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential
- IT degree or equivalent industry qualification and relevant experience in an IT related job.
Desirable
- Ongoing education and learning to Post Graduate Diploma Level (D)
Experience

- Relevant experience within an IT environment including actual experience of project management which includes a period in an NHS environment. (E)
- Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary project team (E)
- Full project life cycle experience in medium and large IT projects, with strong skills in the planning and
- implementation phases (E)
- Delivering projects on time and to budget (E)
- Writing and presenting IT business cases E)
- A good understanding of project risk and issue management (E)
- Presenting internally and externally, and at all levels (E)
- A good understanding of NHS strategies and plans and how they affect delivery of IT within Trusts (E)
