The Biomedical Science team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion to work in a busy NHS Hospital in Swansea. We are looking for a biomedical scientist who can make a real difference in supporting the laboratory's cellular coagulation service.
Position: Biomedical Scientist
Banding: 6
Location: Swansea
Hours: Full-time - Core days and out of hours cover required (37.5 hours per week)
Duration: Ongoing
What will you be doing in this Biomedical Scientist role?
As a Biomedical Scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion, you will be expected to be proficient in microtomy able to cut over 30 blocks and hour to a high standard; alongside having experience in embedding and staining. On a day to day basis you will be supporting the senior biomedical scientists in the delivery of the service and providing guidance to junior members of staff.

Essential Requirements for this Biomedical Scientist position:
- HCPC registered
- Microtomy experience
- UK NHS or private sector Haematology laboratory experience
- Experience using Sysmex XN10 and XN 20 Sysmex SP10
